Semarang, Indonesia – The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Diponegoro successfully hosted the 7th International Conference on Psychological Studies (ICPSYCHE) 2026 on 18 June 2026. Carrying the theme “Promoting Sustainability: Creating Meaningful Impact for Individuals, Families, Organizations, Communities, and Global Society,” the conference brought together scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss the role of psychology in addressing contemporary societal challenges and advancing sustainable development.
This year’s conference attracted 113 registrants from several countries, including Indonesia, Canada, India, China, and Malaysia. The strong international participation reflects the growing interest in psychological research and its contribution to fostering individual and societal well-being across diverse cultural contexts.
Following the review and confirmation process, 68 research papers were selected and presented across parallel sessions. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including mental health, family and parenting studies, educational psychology, organizational psychology, digital behavior, artificial intelligence, psychometric development, community well-being, and sustainable human development. The conference featured a keynote address by Prof. Aulia Iskandarsyah, M.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Psychologist, Education and Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in The Hague, the Netherlands. Participants also gained valuable insights from distinguished international plenary speakers representing Malaysia, India, and Italy, who shared perspectives on sustainable happiness, psychosocial well-being, digital transformation, and family resilience in contemporary society.
In addition to participants from Indonesian universities, the conference highlighted international academic engagement involving scholars and institutions from India, Malaysia, China, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Palestine, and the United States. This diversity enriched the scientific discussions and strengthened opportunities for future cross-national collaboration in psychological research. Although one invited speaker was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, the conference proceeded successfully and maintained a vibrant academic atmosphere throughout the event. The discussions demonstrated the relevance of psychological science in addressing pressing global issues and supporting sustainable development goals through evidence-based research and practice.
As one of the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Diponegoro’s flagship international academic events, ICPSYCHE 2026 reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to fostering internationalization, promoting high-quality research, and building meaningful collaborations that generate positive impacts for individuals, families, organizations, communities, and society at large.
