Diponegoro Global Scholarship. Your Path for Fully-Funded Master by Research Degree in Indonesia

Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) is one of the best, foremost and oldest universities in Indonesia. Undip aims to become World Class University in which provides excellent education has become one of the main focuses. Diponegoro Global Scholarship is offered to the international students who want to pursue the master and doctoral programs which are taught in English. Upon the study completion, Diponegoro Global Scholarship awardees are expected to play an essential role in expanding the international network and to the ambassador in the global community. We are offering 50 master and doctoral programs.

These study programs are mostly accredited A (Excellent) by Higher Education National Accreditation Body. We value our students, both home-students and international students, by providing excellent education as well as the best services to foster the learning process. In addition, located in Semarang City has become one of the appealing points for UNDIP as the city itself is well known for its cultural and industrial diversity. This uniqueness allows our students to experience local heritage in their surroundings and also access to our industrial partners for those who want to conduct the internships.

SCHOLARSHIPS BENEFITS
DGS Awardees will receive:

1. Arrival ticket allowance, with the maximum amount of IDR 5.000.000 (only once).
2. Departure ticket allowance, with the maximum amount of IDR 5.000.000 (only once).
   Settlement Allowance of IDR 2.000.000,00 (Tax Included) paid only once upon arrival at Undip.
3. Living Allowance IDR 3.750.000,00 (Tax Included) per Month, please be advised that this amount only sufficient to support one person living properly in Semarang. Hence, we strictly PROHIBIT the awardees to bring their family. The living allowance is only for those who reside in Semarang, and if the students take a leave for academic or non academic matters out of Indonesia, the allowance will not be given.
4. Publication Allowance IDR2.000.000 paid only once which can be claimmed after getting submission notification from journal.
5. Health Insurance provided by Undip (if the cost of medical services exceeded coverage amount, the difference should be borne by the students).
6. Graduation fee IDR300.000 paid once

2. Letter of Recommendation issued by the Dean or Academic Supervisor at home university*
3. Letter of Recommendation issued by Academic Supervisor from Universitas Diponegoro (for Doctoral Degree*)
4. Certificate copy of TOEFL ITP 525 or IELTS 6.0 or equivalent*
5. Latest Academic Transcripts*
6. Certificate of Financial Guarantee (Bank Reference with a minimum of US$1,500 or equivalent)*
7. Copy of a Valid Passport (colored, valid for at least two years)
8. Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume*
9. Health Certificate from a competent authority*
10. Letter of Declaration to comply with Indonesian Regulations*

ELIGIBILITY
Nationality and Passport

1. Applicants must be non-Indonesian passport holders.
2. Must possess an official (non-diplomatic and non-service/work) passport valid for at least two (2) years from the registration date and no later than December 31, 2027.
3. Age Requirement
   Applicants for the Master’s degree must not exceed 35 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
4. Applicants for the Doctoral degree must not exceed 40 years of age as of December 31, 2026.
5. Academic Qualification
   Applicants for the Master’s program must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree.
6. Applicants for the Doctoral program must hold a recognized Master’s degree.
7. Recommendation Letter
   Master’s degree applicants must be recommended by the Dean of their Faculty or equivalent authority at their home university.
8. Doctoral degree applicants must be recommended by their Academic Supervisor at their home university.
9. English Language Proficiency
   Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency with a minimum score of:
   TOEFL ITP: 525, or
   IELTS: 6.0, or
   Equivalent internationally recognized test.
10. Applicants of foreign nationality from English-speaking countries, or those who graduated from programs conducted fully in English (as stated in their diploma or academic transcript), are exempt from submitting English proficiency test results.
11. Official certification from the home university is required for exemption.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Applicants must submit a certified medical report issued within the last three (3) months, including:
   General physical examination
   Infectious disease tests (Tuberculosis, Syphilis, HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and Mpox)
2. Mental health assessment
   Negative drug screening test (amphetamine, methamphetamine, marijuana, morphine, and benzodiazepines)

MARITAL STATUS

Applicants must not be married to, engaged to, or in any formal relationship with an individual eligible for Indonesian citizenship or permanent resident status at any stage of the application, selection, mobilization process, or during the scholarship period.

PREGNANCY DECLARATION

Applicants must declare their willingness not to be pregnant during the scholarship period.

MILITARY SERVICE

Applicants must not be currently serving in the military and must not be scheduled to undertake military service during the scholarship period.
