Cyber Technology and Human Interaction Research Group Hosts Four-Session Academic Discussion Series to Advance Research Excellence

The International Research Group Joint Collaboration Program, proposed and initiated by Jati Ariati, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., and supported by research group members Dr. Nurul Hasfi, S.Sos., M.A. (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) and Zulfa Safitri Kusumaningrum, S.Sos., M.Si., (Faculty of Humanities) under the Cyber Technology and Human Interaction Research Group, successfully held a four-part series of academic discussions designed to expand research networking, strengthen research competencies, and enhance publication quality. Conducted via Zoom Meeting, the events brought together lecturers and researchers committed to advancing their scholarly skills.

The series began with the Guest Talk and Discussion Session 1 on October 24, 2025, featuring Dr. Chia-chen Yang, Associate Professor at Oklahoma State University, United States. Dr. Yang delivered an insightful presentation on Building Collaborative Research Networks and Leading a Research Lab, emphasizing key principles for establishing productive academic partnerships. This was followed by Session 2 on October 30, 2025, where she expanded on effective practices in research lab management and sustaining long-term academic collaboration.

Continuing the initiative, the Research Group hosted the Informal Academic Discussion Session 1 on December 1, 2025, led by Dr. Tutaleni Asino, Co-Director, Learning Sciences for Innovators Program from Carnegie Mellon University. His talk, Nail International Funding, highlighted essential strategies for crafting compelling international grant proposals and strengthening research narratives to increase competitiveness in global funding schemes.

The series concluded on December 2, 2025, with the Informal Academic Discussion Session 2 featuring Dr. Anindito Aditomo, Associate Professor of Psychology, University of Surabaya, Board of Expert, center for Education and Policy Studies and Fulbright Visiting Scholar and Chen Yidan Fellow, Harvard Graduate School of Education. His presentation, AI’s Convenience: The Dangers and Benefits to Publication Quality, encouraged participants to critically evaluate both the advantages and potential risks that artificial intelligence brings to academic writing and scholarly integrity.

This four-session program reflects the commitment of the Cyber Technology and Human Interaction Research Group to promoting high-quality research, fostering international collaboration, and supporting the ongoing academic development of faculty members and students. The initiative marks an important step toward strengthening the research ecosystem within the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Diponegoro.
