Students of the Industrial Relations course had the opportunity to attend a guest lecture on November 10, 2025, with Dr. Yulita from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia, on the theme of Work Stress and Burnout. This activity is part of a series from the Visiting Professor Program in the World Class University (WCU) initiative, which aims to broaden students’ international outlook and enrich academic perspectives in the field of industrial and organizational psychology.
The lecture session began with a brainstorming activity to assess the extent of students’ understanding of the phenomena of stress and burnout in the workplace. Dr. Yulita then presented theoretical concepts underlying the emergence of work stress and burnout, and discussed various forms of interventions that have been implemented in Southeast Asian countries. Through this activity, students gained a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of maintaining a balance between work demands and psychological well-being.
