The Student Executive Board (BEM)

The Student Executive Board (Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa, or BEM) is the highest student executive body at the Faculty of Psychology. It serves as both an implementing institution and a coordinating body for student activities at the faculty level. BEM provides a platform for students to develop their potential, both within and beyond the university. Comprising one team, two bureaus, and nine departments, the 2024 Meraki Karsa Cabinet continues to grow and evolve in response to students’ needs. With a strong commitment to service, BEM also engages with current issues, including socio-political affairs, research, entrepreneurship, environmental conservation, student interests and talents, and cadre development. Through its vision and mission, BEM hopes to empower its members and Psychology students to optimize the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi): Education, Research, and Community Service. These pillars are integrated with BEM’s three core functions: Creative Endeavors, Service, and Movement.

Every year, BEM actively supports the Faculty in helping students develop organizational abilities and strengthen their leadership, management, character-building, and personal development skills, with the aim of preparing future generations of professionals. These efforts are carried out through various programs, including the Pre-Basic Student Management Skills Training (Latihan Keterampilan Manajemen Mahasiswa tingkat Pra-Dasar, or LKMM-PD), Basic Student Management Skills Training (Latihan Keterampilan Manajemen Mahasiswa tingkat Dasar, or LKMMD), Leadership Training (LT), and the Psychology Creators School (Sekolah Para Pengkarya Psikologi, or SP3).

BEM also encourages students to actively develop their individual potential through programs such as Career Plan: Job Fair, Magenta Market Day (M2D), CLISE, Tritaclass, and the Indonesian Psychology Students Conference (Konferensi Mahasiswa Psikologi Indonesia, or KMPI).
